Homework Assignments and Grading:
Homework will be given 2-3 times per week with the purpose of reinforcing concepts discussed in our classroom. In the event that students do not finish class work during class time, they are always welcome to take it home to finish and turn it in the following day. When homework is assigned, it is written on our daily "Agenda" board along with it's due date. The students and I will review the agenda as a daily warm-up everyday to better avoid any misinformation or surprises. In addition to the daily agenda board, I will be making it a personal mission to upload due dates to our class calendar tab as well as a copy of most homework assignments on the notes tab of this site.
Extra Credit-For students who want to receive extra credit, I have a bulletin board up in our classroom that says "TIC TAC TOE". Each spot of the Tic-Tac-Toe board is filled with a handout pertaining to the current unit. To receive the extra credit, students will complete three handouts in a row (up, down, left, right, or diagonally) to have their lowest daily grade dropped or have 5 points additionally added to their unit assessment scores.

Attendance:
Everyday attendance is strongly suggested, "Be here, get there. Everyday in school matters." -unknown source. However, life happens and sometimes it's inevitable. In the event that a student misses class, all missing work is placed in our "absent file organizer" for students to grab what they need. The organizer is sectioned by days and hangs on the wall in our classroom making it accessible to any and every student at all times. I update this area daily with extra copies of each activity we do in class. I give my students 3 days to turn in their absent work.
